MinerEye is featured in Gartner report assessing cloud service provider for GDPR readiness

TEL AVIV, August 16, 2018. A recent Gartner Group report advises that organizations using Cloud Service Providers (CPS) Google, Amazon and Microsoft, consider deploying third-party tools for data discovery, classification and governance in order to comply with GDPR.

AI-powered MinerEye DataTracker TM is featured in the Gartner Technical Professional Advice, “Assessing Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure for Your GDPR which states that “on their own, CSP behavior and tools will be insufficient to meet all GDPR compliance requirements.”

Automated data cataloging and tracking before, during and after cloud migration is taking on an increasingly important role in the enterprise, buoyed by regulatory pressures such as GDPR as well the need to secure cloud data.

MinerEye DataTracker enables companies to continuously identify, organize, track and protect vast information assets including undermanaged, unstructured and dark data; helping companies downsize and protect their information, and adhere to government regulations such as GDPR.

MinerEye’s DataTracker uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate and speed the process of identifying, tracking and downsizing the data both before and after cloud migration. MinerEye DataTracker also helps companies consolidate internal file server data.

“The Gartner Report validates what we tell our clients, by stating that you first need to know what data you have and where it resides in order to decide whether it is in scope for GDPR,” says Yaniv Avidan, CEO of MinerEye.

“Completing a process of discovery used to be a painstaking process of identifying the servers, processes, and databases that contain personal data. MinerEye has removed the pain from this painstaking process.”

“Deploying MinerEye’s DataTracker will help organizations make continuous data categorization and tracking a reality; bringing significant cost and time savings while helping companies enforce data protection and regulatory compliance,” adds Mr. Avidan.
